Features

Running should feel good—and the New Balance Ellipse v1 makes sure it does.

Built on Fresh Foam X cushioning and designed for everyday runners who want a soft, bouncy, energetic ride, the Ellipse is the kind of shoe that reminds you why you started running in the first place. Whether you're logging easy miles, tackling a treadmill session or just moving through your day, this is the shoe that keeps every step feeling light and fun.

Details:

  • Upper: A breathable engineered mesh upper wraps your foot in comfortable, flexible support. A stretchy padded tongue, plush heel collar and roomy toe box work together to create a fit that feels natural from the first step—no break-in period required.
  • Midsole: Fresh Foam X delivers a soft yet springy ride that cushions landings and bounces back at toe-off. Vertical flex grooves in the forefoot help the shoe move naturally with your stride for smooth, effortless transitions mile after mile.
  • Outsole: Strategically placed rubber targets high-wear zones in the heel and forefoot for durable traction, while a partially exposed midsole in the middle keeps the overall weight down without sacrificing grip where it counts.

Great Daily Trainer

I am a big NB fan. I have purchased many 1080โ€™s. However, the last 2 seasons have been disappointing. The ellipse are very similar to the old 1080โ€™s. I pulled them out of the box and had planned a light 3 mile run. I ended up running 7. These are nicely cushioned in all the right spots. The only criticism I have is the logo on the side of the sneaker looks cheap and kind of tacky. But overall a nice affordable running shoe!

SUPER COMFORTABLE Iโ€™ve never had a shoe like it. Def feel like Iโ€™m walking on clouds. No more foot and ankle pain and no sheen splits when running or knee pain. NB did it right with these !

Great multipurpose shoe!

Itโ€™s comfy enough for a long walk, but supportive and responsive enough for a run. I wear these primarily for long walks and easy runs and find them comfortable with a almost more โ€œleisureโ€ wear styling, so itโ€™s easy to leave them on all day.

Ok

The shoes were comfortable in store but as I wore them more I feel I need more support, stability in the heel.
