My go to shoe
I’ve stuck with the Altra Escalante line from the first model through some disappointing models, and then to this current one. While I still believe the initial model was the best, this last one (v4) comes closest to replicating the initial model, with a bit more cushioning. Yes, the uppers wear through at the toe, but the shoe is comfortable and still wearable. This is my go to shoe (I have multiple pairs that I rotate)

I ordered another pair but in black and white to wear to work. They work great for me. Just enough padding and not too much. Try it for yourself before you believe peoples negative reviews.
