Whether you're new to the area or new to running, join a run club in Carrboro or a run club in Durham! Some pair a mid-week run with a crisp pint of beer to follow, while others convene for coffee on a Saturday morning after their group workout!
From accountabilty and weekly workouts to comradery and making new friends, there are many reasons to join a run club. Check out some of our favorites below!
Black Girls RUN!
Black Girls RUN!’s mission is to encourage black women to embrace movement and live active, healthy lives. Take the first step in changing your life and those of thousands of women across the country!
Black Men Run
A healthy brotherhood! Black Men Run provide a welcoming source of community and a space to check in on each other. At Black Men Run, everyone wins. Participation in runs is voluntary and up to the discretion of the individual.
bRUNch Run with Fleet Feet
When: 8am
Where: Fleet Feet Durham 9th Street, 737 9th St, Durham, NC 27705
Routes: 3- to 5-Miles
Carolina Godiva Track Club
Not just for ultra-competitive runners/walkers, but a family-friendly evening of run/walk! Meets take place on Wednesday nights, and each week, we alternate between long- and short-distance nights (with a special Midsummer Madness night on July 1!). The final night of summer track will be July 29.
When: From May 20, Wednesdays at 7pm sharp

Carrboro Run Club
A friendly group of runners who connect every week for a run, walk and a drink! Offering route distances from 1.5 to 5 miles. The club also holds a weekly raffle.
When: Tuesdays, 6:33pm
Where: Dingo Dog Brewery
Crank Arm Run Club (cRUNk), Durham
Crank Arm Run Club is a grassroots run club. Join the cRUNk crew for a group run, and stick around after for some Crank Arm beer!
When: Mondays, 6:30pm
Where: Crank Arm Brewing Company Durham (620 Fernway Ave)

Duke Med Run Club
Duke Med Run Club is a community of health professional students and faculty who use running as a way to build balance and community outside of the hospital. We welcome runners of all paces for friendly group runs, local route exploration, and workouts!
When: Sundays, 8:30am

EmPOWERed Walking Group with Fleet Feet
Where: Alternating between stores: Fleet Feet Carrboro, Fleet Feet Durham - Ninth Street and Fleet Feet Durham - Southpoint.
Girls On The Run: Triangle
Offering fun and evidence-based programs, GOTR Triangle inspires 3rd-5th-grade participants across Durham, Wake, Orange, Chatham and Johnston counties to recognize their strength, increase physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and improve self-confidence.
Hillsborough Run Club
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, the Hillsborough Run Club is a community that supports and inspires you on your running journey.
When: Wednesdays at 6pm and Sundays at 8am
Where: Weaver Street Market
Ponyrun with Fleet Feet
This run has achieved legendary status because of its routes through the city, the amazing selection of craft beers brewed on site by Ponysaurus Brewing, and a pizzeria ready to satisfy any post-run munchies!
When: Thursdays at 5:30pm

The Glass Jog
Where: Parkwood Baseball Field parking lot

TrailHeads
TrailHeads' mission is to promote the joy of trail running. The group is made up of young and old, students, professionals and retirees who love the forest. When they're not running, they're adventurers, teachers, musicians, marketers, professors, mountain-bikers, hi-tech (and low-tech!), doctors, fire fighters, trades people, lawyers (ethical ones), architects, publishers, dog-walkers, bee keepers, coaches, asset managers, nutritionists, physical therapists, social workers and more! From 5Ks to 200-milers, no distance is too short or too long.

Trail + Ultra Fun Fam (TUFF) Run Club
This club has all paces — including walking/hiking — and the group runs on the double-track trails, with optional singletrack. The route is an out-and-back, so any distance is available. Some folks do 2 miles while others do their 20-mile long runs; both are supported!

Sundays ("flagship" meetting) | Memorial Day through Thanksgiving at 7:20am, Thanksgiving through Memorial Day at 8:20am
Thursdays at 6:20pm
Where:
Reedy Creek entrance of Umstead State Park (across the I-40 bridge, where the pavement turns to gravel). During the winter months, the Thursday group meets near the bathrooms on the paved lot at the same entrance.

UNC Club XCTF
Accessible, fun and not always as serious as some may think! UNC Club XCTF (Cross Country, Track and Field) is a club that seeks to offer whatever you want to get out of it — from track and speed workouts to casual group runs at your desired pace.
When: Every weekday at 4:30pm | Saturday mornings
Where: Weekdays at the Carmichael Gym at the doors facing Hooker Fields, Saturday times and locations posted in the GroupMe chat
