Training for a half marathon looks different for everyone. Some runners are building on their running experience, while others are stepping into this distance for the first time and looking for the right guidance to get there. It takes more than running the miles. It takes support, structure and a community that keeps showing up. That’s exactly what you’ll find with Fleet Feet training programs.
Fleet Feet’s Half Marathon Training Program brings runners together around a shared goal and a clear path forward. For 12 weeks, you will follow a progressive training plan designed to help you build endurance, confidence and consistency. You’ll come together for two coached, in-person group workouts each week, with a structured plan to guide your running on the days in between.
Your training goes beyond the run itself. You’ll get guidance for warm-ups and cool-downs, strength work to build durability and help reduce injury risk, and mobility and cross-training to keep your body balanced. You’ll also get expert tips on gear, nutrition, recovery and more.
Can't join one of our in-person sessions? No problem! Your training program will be pre-loaded into your Final Surge app calendar with clear instructions for each workout. So you can complete your workouts virtually or join one of the Dallas Marathon running club partners (more information on running club partner runs to be announced later)
To help you train at the right level, this program offers two training paths:
Level 1 is designed for runners who have been running for less than two years or have an established routine averaging around 20 miles per week and feel comfortable running 4-6 miles at a time.
Level 2 is designed for runners who have an established routine averaging around 25 miles or more per week, feel comfortable running 6-8 miles at a time and are looking to build on a previous half marathon experience.
