Get Ready to Get Nasty: Fleet Feet PDX Hosts the Flaming Nasty Route

Saturday, December 6th | 9:30 AM | Forest Park
We’re teaming up with the Forest Park Conservancy for this year's Nasty Challenge, and Fleet Feet PDX is proud to host the Flaming Nasty Route!
What’s the Nasty Challenge?
The Nasty Challenge is a community trail-running fundraiser benefiting the Forest Park Conservancy, the nonprofit that keeps Portland’s favorite park thriving. Participants donate to register and then take on a series of five notoriously tough trail routes—each designed to test your endurance, navigation, and grit.
You’ll have from Sunday, November 9 through Saturday, March 7 to complete all five Nasties at your own pace. Every mile helps support trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and access improvements across Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park.
Each month, a different local running store hosts one of the five Nasty routes. You don’t need to complete the route on its scheduled group run day—you can take them on whenever it fits your schedule. The hosted runs are a great opportunity to celebrate community on the trails, meet other runners, and share in the challenge together.
How to Participate
Ready to get started? Here’s how to join The Nasty Challenge:
There will be a link on the Forest Park Conservancy’s website that will take you directly to the Nasty Challenge sign-up page. A minimum $35 donation registers you for the challenge and gives you access to all five route maps and descriptions. You can log your progress throughout the season and submit your completions to be entered to win prizes at the end of the challenge.
